Role and Responsibilities
- Load and unload products from the trucks
- Review products for damage before shipments
- Sort and place materials and items according to organizational standards
- Lead, develop, train and maintain highly competent dock working professionals
- Maximize effectiveness of each of member of the team and recommend short-term and long-term plans with respect to improving the effectiveness of assigned functions and responsibilities
- Assure timely and accurate inbound and outbound deliveries
- Assure the preparation and sign-off of all inbound and outbound paperwork is accurate
- Participate in quarterly inventory counts with selected team members
- Prep and sign-off on all inbound and outbound bill of ladings
- Label products and store them in an organized manner
- Communicate efficiently with supervisors and teammates
- Ensure a clean, neat, and organized work area by maintaining company sanitation and food safety standards
- Operate a forklift or hydraulic jack lift to move boxes
- Work to solve inventory variances and trace-and-track issues
- Follow all rules / guidelines / GMP’s
- (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversees 5-8 warehouse associates
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience with loading and unloading trucks
- 3+ years’ experience of inventory control
- Solid understanding of shipping and receiving processes
- Sound leadership experience
- Proven ability to interact with employees in a professional manner, including under stressful situations
- Previous forklift experience
- Able to operate a variety of forklifts
- Forklift certification is preferred
- Knowledge of GMPs, SPC, HACCP, OSHA, and USDA regulations

- Work Environment And Physical Requirements: Cold production setting with concrete floors
- Stand in cold temperatures (38 degrees) for seven (7) or more hours in a day
- Handle cold and wet product throughout the day
- Able to lift 50 lbs. several times a day and occasionally 70 lbs.
- Visually identify and evaluate product
- Able to see at a distance for driving, able to hear bells and horns for anticipating oncoming forklift traffic
- May work in aisles or narrow passageways
- Food Safety: Kilcoy has adopted the SQF System for food safety management and is under continuous USDA meat & poultry jurisdiction
- All Kilcoy team members are responsible for food safety and quality requirements
- Team members will be regularly informed, trained, and held accountable for managing food safety and regulatory expectations within their work areas
