About the role

Join The Epilepsy Center of Northwest Ohio as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) and help individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities live empowered, independent lives. You'll build meaningful relationships, provide everyday support, and help people thrive both at home and throughout the community.

Locations: Lucas and Wood County

Schedule

Part-Time - Weekend shifts and one day a week

Anticipated Hours: 12-20 hours - 2nd & 3rd shifts (sleep & awake)

Responsibilities

  • Provide respectful, person-centered support in daily living tasks
  • Assist with personal care: ambulation, bathing, grooming, toileting, etc.
  • Engage individuals in social, recreational, and community activities
  • Prepare meals, cleaning, laundry, and household tasks
  • Transport individuals safely to appointments or social outings
  • Encourage personal growth and achievement of goals
  • Accurately document activities, incidents, and client progress
  • Communicate professionally with team members, families, and clients
  • Participate in required paid training and team meetings

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (fewer than 6 points)
  • Proof of auto insurance
  • Ability to pass BCI/FBI background checks and required screenings
