Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform 2M/ MTR inspections and certifications
- Ensure compliance with Navy 2M Manual and Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual
- Provide and update 2M/ MTR Readiness Reports
- Prepare Certificates of Compliance and Scope of Competency inspection letters as required
- Maintain 2M/ MTR recertification and inspector qualifications
- Provide on-site technical assistance to fleet personnel regarding 2M/ MTR issues
- Evaluate 2M/ MTR technicians for proficiency and knowledge by administering written and practical examinations
- Clock requests for funding, schedule manpower and equipment required to inspect and assess Navy Activity 2M/ MTR programs
Requirements
- Possess and maintain an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance
- Associate degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or other related field
- 3 to 5 years of Navy 2M/ MTR experience
- Be currently 2M/ MTR certified
- Complete Navy 2M/ MTR technician recertification course
- Able to complete Navy 2M/ MTR technician recertifier requalification course every 18 months
- Able to complete local 2M/ MTR Inspector qualification under instruction
- Have completed at least one tour of duty as a 2M/ MTR Inspector or 2M Instructor
- MS Office suite proficiency required
- Familiarity with Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual requirements
- Ability to use clear and concise oral and written communications
