About the role

The Senior Commercial Lender plays a key role in driving loan growth and strengthening the bank’s presence in the communities it serves. This position focuses on building long-term relationships with small to mid-sized businesses, expanding into delivery of a menu of bank deposit and loan services, and participating in community activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field
• 7-10+ years of commercial lending experience, preferably within a community or regional bank
• Strong understanding of local market dynamics and small to mid-sized business needs
• Demonstrated ability to develop business through relationships and referrals
• Well-developed credit skills with experience in CRE and C&I lending
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a high touch, service-oriented mindset

Work Environment

• Office based with significant time spent in the community meeting clients and prospects
• This position works within the bank’s total market – Middle Tennessee and the Chattanooga commercial market
• Emphasis on business development and mentoring/counseling other lenders
