About the role
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Dental Nurse to join our Public Dental Service (PDS) to provide patient-centred dental support in NHS Dumfries & Galloway. This unique opportunity will see you providing direct and indirect support to both patients and the clinical team. The position is within our Scottish Emergency Dental Service (SEDS) providing clinics from Dumfries Dental Centre.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to patients
- Provide indirect support to patients
- Support the clinical team
- Work within the Scottish Emergency Dental Service (SEDS) delivering clinics from Dumfries Dental Centre
Requirements
- Relevant clinical experience as a Dental Nurse
- NEBDN qualification or SVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing
- Registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) as a Dental Nurse
Skills
- Sound knowledge of Health & Safety requirements within a clinical environment
- Ability to find solutions to problems
- Ability to deal with the pressure of a diverse clinic while retaining excellent and efficient communication skills
Schedule
The post holder would be required to work 7.5 hours per weekend, 1 weekend in 4, and work additional hours to cover public holidays, annual leave and sickness.
