About the role

This position is for a Special Education Teacher specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at North Farmington High School.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with ASD.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with ASD in various academic subjects.
  • Collaborate with other special education teachers, general education teachers, and school staff to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and other professional development activities.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • A valid Michigan teaching certificate in Special Education.
  • Experience working with students with ASD preferred.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices for teaching students with ASD.

Pay
