About the role

The Assistant Marching Band Director will support the band director in all aspects of the marching band program, including rehearsals, performances, and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and execution of marching band rehearsals and performances
• Work closely with the band director to develop and implement performance routines and choreography
• Engage with students, parents, and community members to promote the marching band program
• Support the band director in maintaining a safe and positive learning environment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field
• Experience teaching music at the high school level
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed

Qualifications

• Pass a background check
• Valid driver’s license

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of music theory and instrumentation
