About the role
Farmington Public Schools is seeking a Middle School Girls Head Basketball Coach at Farmington STEAM Academy.
Responsibilities
- Organize and direct the middle school girls basketball program
- Plan and conduct practices and game strategies
- Provide instruction in fundamental skills and team concepts
- Ensure proper supervision of student-athletes during all team activities
- Maintain positive communication with players, parents, and school administration
- Promote sportsmanship, academic achievement, and personal growth among student-athletes
- Adhere to all district policies, athletic conference rules, and MSHSL regulations
Qualifications
- Previous coaching experience in basketball, preferably at the middle school or high school level
- Knowledge of basketball rules, techniques, and safety protocols
- Ability to motivate and communicate effectively with adolescent students
- First aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must complete required district training and background check
