About the role
The Quad Preparatory School is seeking an Upper School Psychosocial Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. This role works in tandem with academic teachers to provide social-emotional and executive functioning support to students in grades 8-12.
Responsibilities
- Empower students to optimize their learning by providing necessary scaffolding, modeling, materials, and resources, and maintaining high levels of expectation for student success.
- Coach students in utilizing psychosocial and executive functioning skills in seminars, classes, and during work periods and transitions.
- Facilitate projects and/or independent activities nurturing the talents and interests of individual students in collaboration with academic teachers and clinical team.
- Establish and continuously monitor students' individual psychosocial goals and strategies.
- Aid students with personalized projects and daily living skills as determined by their schedule.
- Co-lead seminar classes with an academic teacher, participating in curriculum mapping, lesson planning, and discussions on specific strategies and psychosocial support plans.
- Engage in group discussions and model executive function and social communication skills.
- Work cooperatively with school administrators, colleagues, and parents to deliver a fully-integrated, student-centered learning environment.
- Participate in all training and staff development modules, including reading required books and articles on cutting-edge 2E and other educational developments.
- Attend all faculty and staff meetings, professional development sessions, and required special events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or related field
- One year of paid experience working with children in grades 1-6
- Attention to detail

Pay
Annual Salary Range: $50,000 - $62,000
Schedule
This is a full-time exempt position in an educational facility that is open eight hours a day. Teachers, psychosocial teachers, and staff clinicians work ten months out of the year according to the academic calendar (late August to late June). Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required, anticipating at least three of these events throughout the year. In general, hours are Monday-Friday 8am - 4pm.
