About the role
This position is for a Special Education Reading Specialist.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized reading instruction to students with disabilities
- Collaborate with special education teachers, general education teachers, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Reside in the US and within commutable distance to school
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Reliable transportation to and from job site
- Complete background check
Qualifications
- Experience working with students with disabilities
- Knowledge of reading interventions and strategies
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other educators and professionals
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
