About the role
This position is for a Special Education Reading Specialist.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized reading instruction to students with special needs
- Collaborate with other special education teachers and administrators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Reside in the US and within commutable distance to school
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Reliable transportation to and from job site
- Complete background check
Qualifications
- Experience working with students with special needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of current best practices in special education reading
