About the role
This position is for a Special Education Reading Specialist.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized reading instruction to students with disabilities
- Collaborate with special education teachers and other school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Reside in the US and within commutable distance to school
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Reliable transportation to and from job site
- Complete background check
Qualifications
- Experience working with students with reading disabilities
- Knowledge of special education best practices
- Ability to work collaboratively with other educators
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
