Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to students' unique learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and school staff
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
Requirements
- Active California Special Education Teaching Credential
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or related field
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs
- School-based experience preferred
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Current CPR if applicable
Preferred certifications: Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Teaching; Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement.
Pay
$50/hour (local pay)
Schedule
40 hours per week, 183-day school year contract
