Amergis Staffing is seeking ESN Moderate / Severe Special Education Teachers for the 2026/2027 school year in the Cypress, CA area.

About the role

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12. The role involves team participation in planning and implementing student programs, including special instruction, tutorial assistance, and consultation with general education staff.

Settings: Elementary grade levels

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement student programs, including special instruction and tutorial assistance
  • Consult with general education staff
  • Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice
  • Meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
  • Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations
  • Minimum of one year experience in a teaching environment (preferred)
  • State Teacher Certification (Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Teaching preferred)
  • Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
  • Current CPR (if applicable)
  • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Pay

$2,062 weekly

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Start Date: August 2026
  • Length: 2026/2027 School Year
