Position Summary
Teachers (4116.31)
- Teach students according to the curriculum plan adopted by the Board.
- Participate in committees dealing with planning, research, curriculum, public relations, or other professional activities.
- Exercise proper supervision and care over school property and report any abuses.
- Maintain classroom control and report any issues to the principal.
- Manage and supervise students as directed by the principal.
- Open and close school sessions punctually.
- Affirm knowledge and enforcement of Board rules.
- Closely observe students for hindering work and report such situations.
- Prepare lesson plans, records, and reports as required.
- Communicate with parents in the best interest of the students.

Licenses and Certifications
Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction teaching license.
Work Environment
- Must be able to spend up to 70% of the day walking.
- Able to walk or run quickly through hallways and stairwells in an emergency situation.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods, respond to active crisis situations, and support student movement.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to communicate effectively on the telephone and in person to provide information and assistance.
- Ability to move throughout the building and from building to building.
- Dexterity and hand/eye coordination necessary to operate computer keyboard and other office equipment.
- Hearing ability adequate to participate in numerous conversations throughout the day, both in person and over the telephone.
- Ability to maintain concentration and focus on tasks requiring timeliness and accuracy.
