The San Juan Unified School District is seeking a full-time educator for their educational program. This position is open until filled and applications are accepted weekly.
About the role
This role is available at Barrett. The position is permanent and open to both internal and external candidates. For external candidates, the maximum incoming placement is on Column 4. Candidates must be internal employees to be placed on Column 5.
Responsibilities
- Teach students in accordance with curriculum guidelines and standards.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Maintain classroom management and discipline.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement effective instruction.
- Evaluate student progress and provide feedback.
- Participate in professional development activities.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
- A valid teaching credential or certification.
- Experience working with students in a similar setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in education or related field preferred.
- Experience with special education students.
- Experience with counseling, social work, or teacher librarian roles.

The salary range for fully credentialed staff is $60,000 - $126,000 annually. Additional stipends are available based on the position and qualifications.
The length of the work year for this position is 10 months/year, 186 days/year, 5 days/week, with a professional work day.
