About the role

This position requires a current Oklahoma Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsements and a Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field. No additional training or experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and contribute to curriculum development programs.
• Understand and apply principles of child development to facilitate learning.
• Facilitate learning through various strategies and provide opportunities for all students.
• Define and evaluate student objectives, adjusting for individual and group differences.
• Manage classroom routines to minimize discipline issues and handle minor disciplinary problems.
• Establish and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Assess and assist students with academic, social, and personal needs as outlined in Individual Education Plans.
• Communicate with parents about students' progress and interpret the school program.
• Utilize discretion, ingenuity, and independent judgment in problem-solving.
• Support the computerization of school district operations and provide training to district staff.
