About the role
The P.E./Health teacher will lead daily P.E. instruction across multiple grade levels, supplementing other core academic areas. This is a full-time position working closely with the existing specials department, which includes P.E. and other specials classes.Responsibilities
- Create a positive classroom environment
- Implement curriculum
- Absess students
- Collaborate with team
- Build relationships with families
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree preferred
- Relevant Florida Teaching Certification or Equivalent (K-12 Physical Education/Health)
- At least one year of teaching experience with a proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom; two or more years highly preferred.
- Possesses a deep commitment to both racial and educational equity for all children
- Passing a background check, as required by law

- Two or more years of K-8 teaching experience with a proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom

Compensation and Benefits
- Starting salary for a first-year lead teacher is $50,000
