26-27 Elementary PE Teacher (K-4)

About the role

The P.E./Health teacher will lead daily P.E. instruction across multiple grade levels, supplementing other core academic areas. This is a full-time position working closely with the existing specials department, which includes P.E. and other specials classes.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive classroom environment
• Implement curriculum
• Absess students
• Collaborate with team
• Build relationships with families
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree preferred
• Relevant Florida Teaching Certification or Equivalent (K-12 Physical Education/Health)
• At least one year of teaching experience with a proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom; two or more years highly preferred.
• Possesses a deep commitment to both racial and educational equity for all children
• Passing a background check, as required by law

Highly Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of K-8 teaching experience with a proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom

• Passing a background check, as required by law

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting salary for a first-year lead teacher is $50,000
