About the role

The Bay Area Women’s Sports Initiative (BAWSI) is a nonprofit founded in 2005 by women’s sports legends Marlene Bjornsrud, Brandi Chastain, and Julie Foudy. BAWSI mobilizes the women’s sports community to engage, inspire, and empower girls from under-resourced neighborhoods who have the least access but the most to gain from sports participation. Our programs include factors that help increase resilience in children living with adversity.

Responsibilities

• Improve and expand skills in systems and finance
• Gain valuable nonprofit experience
• Work with BAWSI staff to support programs aimed at improving physical and mental health outcomes for BAWSI Girls through physical activity and sports participation
• Analyze program impact metrics and provide summaries for marketing campaigns and fundraising events

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Attention to detail, documentation, and follow-through in project work
• An interest in and familiarity with operational improvements and communications

Qualifications

• Some college education
• Age minimum: 18
