26-27 Assistant Cross Country Coach, Middle School

Essential Functions

• Teach and coach students at the highest level that can be attained.
• Work closely with the head coach to enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior.
• Organize and supervise the sports program.
• Demonstrate effective human relations and communication skills.
• Comply with good safety practices.
• Comply with all district rules, regulations, and policies.

Skills/Qualifications

• Valid Missouri teacher certificate.
• Employment as a teacher in the Jefferson City School District.
• Previous coaching experience in assigned sport, preferred.

Miscellaneous Requirements

• Clearances required; results must be satisfactory to the District.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling.
• Significant fine finger dexterity.
• Performance in physical situations including weather or surface related areas.
• Working on game plans or other related tasks.
