Job Goal

To provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where young children can learn, grow, and develop through age-appropriate activities and positive interactions. Aim to support each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development while building strong relationships with children, families, and coworkers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous childcare experience preferred but not required
• Must be willing to obtain CPR First Aid Certification or already hold a current certification
• Must pass required background checks and meet all childcare licensing requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for all children in the classroom
• Supervise children at all times and follow all safety and childcare licensing requirements
• Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities that support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
• Build positive relationships with children and respond to their individual needs with patience and care
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
• Follow daily classroom schedules, routines, and center policies
• Communicate respectfully and professionally with parents, families, and coworkers
• Assist children with daily routines, including meals, toileting, handwashing, and rest periods as developmentally appropriate
• Observe and document children's development, behavior, and progress as needed
• Work collaboratively with other teachers and administration to provide consistent, high-quality care
• Follow proper procedures for attendance, sign-in/sign-out, incident reporting, and classroom documentation
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
• Maintain current CPR/First Aid certification or complete certification within the required timeframe
• Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, flexibility, and a positive attitude while supporting the overall goals of the daycare program
