About the role
Quest Collegiate Academy supports students through a blended-learning educational experience aimed at fostering responsible, goal-oriented individuals ready for life's challenges. The program blends direct teaching, small group sessions, and one-on-one interactions, focusing on teacher-led and data-driven academic instruction.
Responsibilities
- Create rigorous and engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Evaluate student progress regularly and communicate findings to students, parents, and school staff.
- Administer and monitor diagnostic tests to assess student performance levels.
- Tutor students as needed, both individually and in an after-school program.
- Manage the classroom by setting clear expectations, establishing routines, and promoting self-discipline.
- Engage with students to inspire, praise, and correct them consistently, ensuring academic success and self-esteem.
- Participate in extracurricular activities as a mentor or sponsor.
- Practice professionalism through ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
- Comply with the ResponsiveEd Procedures Manual, Student Handbook, Student Code of Conduct, and Employee Handbook.
Requirements
The ideal candidate holds a Texas State Teacher’s Certification in the subject to be taught, or a Bachelor’s degree with a passing score on an ExCET/TExES Exam, an academic minor or major in the core academic subject areas, or documented successful, relevant work experience in the content area.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a passing score on an ExCET/TExES Exam in grade level or content area to be taught.
- Bachelor’s degree with an academic minor or major (minimum of 18 credit hours) in the core academic subject areas to be taught.
- Bachelor’s degree and documented successful, relevant work experience in the content area to be taught, established by at least one year of employment in a specific field or occupation that required the educator to demonstrate knowledge or skill in the content area.

Ability to support and challenge students in a nurturing environment, interpret policy and procedures, manage the classroom, evaluate student progress, administer tests, tutor students, and practice professionalism through ongoing professional development.
