26-1133: Full Stack Java Developer- Herndon, VA

About the role

Navitas, an industry leader in digital transformation since 2006, provides award‑winning technology solutions to commercial, federal, and state‑and‑local clients. The Full Stack Java Developer will support a Federal Program in Herndon, VA, requiring a minimum Public Trust clearance (U.S. citizenship). The role focuses on designing, developing, integrating, and deploying scalable cloud‑based applications using Java/Spring Boot on the backend and Angular or React on the frontend across AWS and Azure, within an Agile/DevSecOps environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full‑stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular and/or React.
• Develop secure and scalable RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend services supporting enterprise applications.
• Build and deploy cloud‑native applications across AWS and Azure, leveraging appropriate cloud services and integration patterns.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, product owners, and other developers within an Agile/DevSecOps environment.
• Support application modernization, integration, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and production deployments.
• Participate in code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD activities, technical documentation, and implementation of secure development best practices.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required with Minimum Public Trust clearance or Higher.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and full‑stack application development, with experience using Angular or React.
• Demonstrated experience developing and deploying applications in AWS and Azure cloud environments.
• Experience working with Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD, Git, automated testing, and modern software development practices.
• Nice to have: prior experience supporting DHS or other federal government programs.
