  • Monitor and achieve hourly production targets, recording these on required production sheets in the absence of immediate supervision, and highlight any shortfalls to the supervisor.
  • Review all risk assessments and work instructions to ensure work methods are safe and support production efficiencies in a cost-effective manner.
  • Shadow train colleagues and new starters in line with work instructions, ensuring they meet production output targets while maintaining health and safety standards.

  • Willingness to undertake on-the-job training and induction (typically 4-6 weeks, depending on hours/days worked) to achieve full competency across a range of duties.
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety, including participation in risk assessing individual tasks.
  • Completion of NHS Lanarkshire compulsory training and mandatory Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) Standards.
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to audit processes and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment.

Benefits

  • Annual leave: 35 days (including public holidays).
  • Generous NHS pension scheme.
  • Annual incremental salary progression.
  • Paid sick leave increasing with length of service.
