250602 Crisis Service Team Leader
About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leader for the Crisis Team within Unscheduled Care Mental Health Services. The successful candidate will lead the Crisis Team to deliver and develop local services in line with the Mental Health Strategy and the agreed policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Crisis Team to deliver and develop local services in line with the Mental Health Strategy and the agreed policies and procedures.
- Ensure the resources allocated to the Crisis Team are effectively used to deliver a user-friendly Community Mental Health Service.
- Work in partnership with other stakeholders across the Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) to ensure the Crisis Service is effective and continues to develop in line with patient need and local and national objectives.
- Provide care services at local level while ensuring these are effectively used to deliver a user-friendly Community Mental Health Service.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Mental Health legislation, Care Programme Approach (CPA), and legislative frameworks relevant to Mental Health, Criminal Procedures, Public Protection, and understand the political environment and integration agenda.
- Obtain PVG Clearance.
Requirements
The successful candidate should have recent experience working in a senior nursing role within the Community Mental Health Teams as a community mental health nurse, or within crisis. They will be educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should have a good working knowledge of relevant Mental Health legislation, Care Programme Approach (CPA) and legislative frameworks relevant to Mental Health, Criminal Procedures, Public Protection, knowledge of current physical and psychological treatments in mental health and understand the political environment and integration agenda.
Skills
The successful candidate should possess excellent communication and leadership skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively with other stakeholders.
