About the role

The successful candidate will teach art to students in grades 9-12 at Grandview ISD. This position is part of the Professional/Certified - Secondary - Art category.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards
• Assess student learning through various methods including rubrics and portfolios
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance curriculum and support student success
• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
• Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching skills

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Art Education or related field
• Valid Texas teaching certificate in Art Education
• Experience teaching art to secondary students
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Pay

The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The teacher will be scheduled to work 180 days per school year, with a typical schedule of 7 periods per day.
