The Chen Lab, in the Departments of Physics and Biochemistry and the Institute for Data Science and Informatics at the University of Missouri-Columbia, is seeking highly motivated candidates to fill a postdoctoral position.

About the role

The primary focus of the position is to develop biophysical and machine learning models for RNA-targeted drug discovery and RNA structure prediction.

Responsibilities

  • Develop biophysical and machine learning models for RNA-targeted drug discovery and RNA structure prediction.
  • Collaborate with experimentalists to integrate computational and experimental approaches.
  • Contribute to the development of novel algorithms and methodologies in computational biology.

Requirements

  • A PhD in Bioinformatics, Data Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated strength in computational studies with proficiency in programming.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with machine learning techniques.

Qualifications
