About the role

Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Responsible for the preparation and presentation of Seafood products within seafood display cases to promote optimal opportunity for sales. Provides accurate fulfillment of all Seafood special orders (e.g., shrimp platters) and adheres to all corporate and state sanitation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Consistently provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service at all times.
• Greet customers with a smile, make eye contact, and thank them upon fulfilling requests.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of Seafood department products (e.g., prepare, price, stock, and maintain the seafood case).
• Perform sanitation duties, including cleaning dishes, food cases, and floors according to corporate and state regulations.
• Ensure a high level of customer courtesy and service at all times.
• Guarantee the accuracy of customer special orders (e.g., shrimp platters).
• Operate seafood department equipment, such as product weight scales, ovens, and cleaning utensils.
• Learn and become proficient at setting ice displays to corporate standards.
• Perform suggestive selling, sampling, and PA announcements to promote sales.
• Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic literacy and computer skills.
• Satisfactory performance reviews.

Physical Requirements

This role involves physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting, bending, and operating various equipment.
