2027 Wealth Management Internship
About the role
As an intern, it's not about what you know today. It's about what you're willing to learn and where you want to go in your career. The Wealth Management Academy (WMA) Internship is a 9-week paid summer internship designed for students who are interested in pursuing a long-term career in financial planning and wealth management. This program is ideal for students who aspire to become Wealth Advisors, build lasting client relationships, develop comprehensive financial plans, and ultimately pursue their CFP® certification as part of their professional journey. Unlike traditional sales-focused financial services roles, the Wealth Management Academy is centered on helping clients achieve their financial goals through holistic planning, advice, and long-term relationship management.
Schwab's Wealth & Advice Solutions organization helps clients navigate important financial decisions through personalized guidance, comprehensive planning, and advice tailored to their unique goals. Wealth Advisors partner closely with clients to understand their needs, develop financial strategies, and provide ongoing support throughout their financial journey. As a Wealth Management Academy Intern, you'll gain exposure to how Schwab delivers wealth management services at scale while maintaining a client-first approach. You'll work alongside professionals who help clients build financial confidence through planning, education, and advice.
As part of your application, please identify the location where you would be interested in completing your internship. Interns who successfully complete the program may be considered for future opportunities within the Wealth Management Academy. Because conversion opportunities are typically aligned to internship location, we encourage you to carefully evaluate your location preferences before applying.
