About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated Software Test Engineering intern/co-op to join our team and participate in different phases of the software test lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with development teams and project engineers to drive defects to closure, developing both automated and manual test plans and cases.
Responsibilities
- Develop and complete automated and manual test plans/test cases using various test strategies, including functional, negative, regression, customer/end-user, performance, reliability, and usability testing.
- Prioritize and manage several concurrent projects and testing tasks efficiently.
- Reproduce, troubleshoot, and triage software defects, report findings, and drive them to closure.
- Create test cases/plans for new features, products (dGPU and APU), and new operating systems (Linux and/or Windows).
- Contribute ideas to improve current processes.
- Identify metrics and measurements to enhance the efficiency of the software QA development cycle.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a U.S.-based university in a bachelor’s degree program majoring in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Software quality analysis processes and methodologies.
- PC configuration (software and hardware), troubleshooting, and PC platform architecture.
- Programming/scripting skills (e.g., Python, VBA, C++, Selenium framework).
- PC gaming and computer graphics technologies (e.g., 3D graphics concepts/APIs, VR/MR, display technologies like FreeSync/HDR, multimedia, compute).
- Development, triaging, or debugging in Linux and/or Windows environments.
- Databases and reporting tools.
Schedule
- Spring-Summer Co-op: January 25, 2027 – August 13, 2027 (full-time, 40 hours per week).
- Summer Internship (Semester Schools): May 24, 2027 – August 13, 2027.
- Summer Internship (Quarter Schools): June 21, 2027 – September 10, 2027.
- Summer-Fall Co-op (Semester Schools): May 24, 2027 – December 10, 2027.
- Summer-Fall Co-op (Quarter Schools): June 21, 2027 – December 10, 2027.
This role requires full-time, in-person or hybrid work at one of the following locations: Austin, TX; Boxborough, MA; Fishkill, NY (summer only); Fort Collins, CO; Longmont, CO; or Secaucus, NJ.
