2027 Summer Internship - Quality (Mechanical Engineering) - AIC

About the role

Aquatech is a global leader in water purification systems technology for industrial and infrastructure markets located in the United States and internationally. We support our clients with sustainable water purification systems and technologies that are solving the world's water scarcity challenges. We have an immediate need for a Quality Engineering Intern to work in our Canonsburg, PA campus. The hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Quality Intern will report to the Safety Manager and will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee. The Intern will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered a non-exempt employee.

Responsibilities

• Review documents for compliance against the ISO 9001 quality standard.
• Update supplier files and other quality management system documents as needed.
• Data entry and analysis.
• Assist in internal audits and identify nonconformances.
• Propose corrective to reduce risks.
• Assist in shop quality inspections.
• CAR Team support.
• Other assignments as deemed necessary.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 standard is helpful but not required.

Skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Ability to learn and expand knowledge on unfamiliar topics.
• Ability to think critically and propose ideas to solve problems.
• Ability to create and maintain files in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a small amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
• Ability to perform sedentary work involving sitting at a desk for potentially extended periods of time.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
