About the Role

This intern will support Aclara's Water and Gas Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) market by researching technology trends and market developments. This role provides hands-on experience in market intelligence, competitive analysis, and strategic research while working closely with business and product leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop updated profiles, comparing products and technologies across the industry
  • Identify emerging trends, market shifts, and new competitive entrants to help inform business strategy and decision-making
  • Apply skills and knowledge learned in the classroom to on-the-job experiences
  • Work on comprehensive, value-added projects
  • Work in teams and with colleagues in a professional environment
  • Develop technical skills specific to your major
  • Build relationships and learn about other parts of the business through professional development opportunities
  • Provide a presentation to the local management team at the end of the program
  • Gain knowledge of the industry as it pertains to the Hubbell business location
  • Gain experience in planning and organizational skills
  • Work on challenging robust projects that will provide practical experience
  • Assist with process improvement
  • Manage multiple projects with overlapping tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Provide support and assistance to co-workers as appropriate

Requirements

  • Full-time enrollment in an accredited college or university throughout the internship program period (May-August 2027), pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree related to the internship
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA

Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and online research tools
  • Experience with market research and competitive analysis is preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with relevant software and systems

Pay

Intern compensation is determined based on academic standing and expected graduation date. Hourly rates for this position range from $22.50 to $29.00 per hour ($46,800–$60,320 annualized equivalent).
