About the Role
This intern will support Aclara's Water and Gas Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) market by researching technology trends and market developments. This role provides hands-on experience in market intelligence, competitive analysis, and strategic research while working closely with business and product leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop updated profiles, comparing products and technologies across the industry
- Identify emerging trends, market shifts, and new competitive entrants to help inform business strategy and decision-making
- Apply skills and knowledge learned in the classroom to on-the-job experiences
- Work on comprehensive, value-added projects
- Work in teams and with colleagues in a professional environment
- Develop technical skills specific to your major
- Build relationships and learn about other parts of the business through professional development opportunities
- Provide a presentation to the local management team at the end of the program
- Gain knowledge of the industry as it pertains to the Hubbell business location
- Gain experience in planning and organizational skills
- Work on challenging robust projects that will provide practical experience
- Assist with process improvement
- Manage multiple projects with overlapping tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
- Provide support and assistance to co-workers as appropriate
Requirements
- Full-time enrollment in an accredited college or university throughout the internship program period (May-August 2027), pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree related to the internship
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and online research tools
- Experience with market research and competitive analysis is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with relevant software and systems
Pay
Intern compensation is determined based on academic standing and expected graduation date. Hourly rates for this position range from $22.50 to $29.00 per hour ($46,800–$60,320 annualized equivalent).
