About the Role

This internship supports the development of innovative surge arrester materials and designs, including AI-driven material formulation and safety/fire-prevention solutions. You will collaborate with engineering teams on prototype development, testing, data analysis, and presentation of results, gaining hands-on experience in product innovation and electrical testing.

Responsibilities

  • Apply classroom knowledge to real-world engineering projects.
  • Work on comprehensive, value-added projects in a professional team environment.
  • Develop technical skills specific to your major and gain industry knowledge.
  • Build professional relationships and participate in development opportunities.
  • Deliver a final presentation to local management at the end of the program.
  • Gain experience in planning, organization, and independent project management.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Manage multiple projects with overlapping tasks and minimal supervision.
  • Provide support and assistance to co-workers as needed.

Requirements

  • Full-time enrollment in an accredited college or university throughout the internship (May–August 2027).
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree related to the internship (required).
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (required).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products preferred.
  • Familiarity with relevant engineering software and systems.

Pay

Hourly rates range from $22.50 to $29.00 per hour ($46,800–$60,320 annualized equivalent), based on academic standing and expected graduation date.
