2027 Summer Associate: Litigation
About the role
Our summer associates provide legal research, writing, discovery and other substantive support for attorneys. They work on a variety of assignments across our litigation department including practices in Complex Disputes, Labor & Employment, Government Investigations & White Collar Defense, Real Estate and Construction, and Privacy and Technology. They also receive substantive feedback and mentoring on assignments.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal research, writing, discovery and other substantive support for attorneys
- Work on a variety of assignments across our litigation department including practices in Complex Disputes, Labor & Employment, Government Investigations & White Collar Defense, Real Estate and Construction, and Privacy and Technology
- Receive substantive feedback and mentoring on assignments
Requirements
- Second-year law student with a demonstrated interest and/or experience in litigation
- Strong academic credentials (3.0 GPA or higher)
- Superb judgment and communication skills
- Excellent legal writing skills
- A commitment to teamwork and excellent client service

Pay
In accordance with applicable Federal and State laws, the anticipated salary for this position in Providence is $2,692.00 per week. This salary is Nixon Peabody’s good faith estimate at the time of this posting.
