2027 Seasonal E-Commerce Intern (Onsite) (Outer Banks, NC)
About the role
Summer 2027 E-Commerce Intern – Kitty Hawk Kites. Spend your summer on the Outer Banks and get real experience in online retail. Kitty Hawk Kites has been a leading employer on the Outer Banks for more than 40 years. We sell online through our own websites and through marketplaces like Amazon and Walmart. This internship is shaped by your strengths and interests and by the projects we have going on while you're here. Expect a mix of hands-on warehouse work and behind-the-scenes systems and data projects.
Responsibilities
- Warehouse tasks such as receiving shipments, picking and packing online orders, inventory counts and returns
- Updating and cleaning up product information (titles, descriptions, categories, attributes and images) in our inventory system and on our sales channels
- Checking that our products are listed correctly online and flagging what needs fixing
- Pulling and organizing reports in Excel
- Helping document processes and supporting system improvement projects
- Other projects based on your skills and the team's needs
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and good follow-through
- Comfortable with numbers, Excel, Outlook and Windows, and quick to learn new software
- A self-starter who works well on your own and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn
- Commitment to Kitty Hawk Kites' core values
- Able to work in a warehouse environment, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs

Schedule
Minimum of 12 weeks, scheduled between May 1, 2027 and August 31, 2027; 40 hours per week, up to 6 days per week.
