2027 Return to Work Fellowship - Event and Exhibit Services

About the Role

Join The Freeman Company's TFC Return to Work Fellowship, a 15-week paid program designed for military veterans transitioning to civilian careers in the live events industry. Running from February 2nd to May 15th, this fellowship offers hands-on experience, professional development, and exposure to the operational side of event management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate teams across multiple lines of business in show-site and branch operations.
• Build skills in operations, electrical, and freight leadership while maintaining safety, quality, and service standards.
• Coordinate with customers, The Freeman Company (TFC) teams, and partners to deliver successful events.
• Support labor and equipment planning, scheduling, and show-site execution.
• Gain hands-on experience in freight, logistics, equipment, safety, and event operations.

Requirements

• Veterans with honorable military service (Active Duty, Reserve, or National Guard), transitioned within the past 5 years or with less than 1 year of corporate experience.
• Strong communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in warehouse and show-site environments.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new systems and tools.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in squad leadership, operations, supply chain, project management, logistics, or carpentry is a plus.

Pay

$30 per hour

Schedule

Full-time, in-person at show-site or office in Chicago, IL; Las Vegas, NV; Nashville, TN; San Antonio, TX; or Washington, DC.
