About the Internship

As an intern with Textron, you'll gain hands-on experience while exploring your interests and building new skills. Responsibilities

  • Build plans, production tooling, and manufacturing processes for components and assemblies.
  • Redesign tooling to improve operators' work environments.
  • Analyze layouts and production processes to improve facility layouts for product flow.
  • Creating reference documents and standardized work for new or improved processes.
  • Analyze quality concerns, make recommendations for improvement, and implement ideas.
  • Exploring new equipment and software that can reduce scrap and downtime and recommend changes to production flow to implement recommendations.
  • Monitor, communicate and improve key supply chain KPI's including PPM, line disruptions and days to close non-conforming material tickets (NCMT).
  • Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
  • Evaluate production processes to increase productivity and investigate methods to enhance the product.
  • Coordinate material and tooling availability with appropriate stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Education: Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering or related field required
  • Software Knowledge: Microsoft Office applications, CAD
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and drive to complete tasks and assignments
