2027 Maintenance Summer Internship

About the role

JBS USA is a leading global provider of diversified, high‑quality food products, processing, preparing, packaging and delivering fresh and value‑added premium meat, poultry and retail‑ready food products for customers in approximately 100 countries. During this 10‑week summer internship you will use your unique perspective and knowledge to help find operational gaps and improve process efficiency, gaining exposure to multiple areas of the business and connecting with executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the maintenance team.
• Assist in maintaining and repairing equipment, structures, utility systems, buildings, and grounds.
• Help establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs and procedures for plant equipment.
• Learn from the team that maintains production equipment to meet organization standards and ensure minimum equipment downtime.
• Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Shadow training programs to ensure proper operations, preventive maintenance, and repair equipment programs and procedures while adhering to the highest safety expectations.
• Complete and present a project related to issues within the maintenance department.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a four‑year university or pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• Ability to lift 50 lb. or more.

Pay

$22 per hour with a $2,500 relocation stipend.
