About the role

Citizens Bank is seeking Investment Banking Analysts to join the Capital Markets & Advisory (“CM&A”) team. Analysts work closely with junior and senior professionals preparing, analyzing, and executing investment banking transactions, primarily within the U.S. middle market. Analysts are assigned to active and prospective engagement teams across multiple industries and have the opportunity to grow professionally in a fast-paced environment.

Within CM&A, bankers are organized into four core groups: Industry Coverage, Leveraged Capital Markets, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Equity Capital Markets. Analysts are aligned with specific groups and potentially organized further by sector coverage. Availability varies by office location:

Responsibilities

• Financial Analysis: Financial modeling, comparable company and transaction analyses, leveraged buyout, and other valuation analyses.
• Preparing Information Memoranda and Transaction Documents: Draft key marketing and transaction-related documents.
• Supporting Team Members: Develop new business ideas, pitch strategies, or transaction structuring scenarios to help clients achieve their strategic objectives.
• Preparing Pitch/Business Origination Materials and Presentations: Develop and assemble pitches and presentations and be an integral part of delivering these presentations.

Requirements

• Current students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, graduating between Winter 2026 – Spring 2027.
• Minimum GPA of 3.2; preferred cumulative GPA of 3.5 (include on resume).
• Relevant work experience, leadership experience, and coursework in Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred (all majors considered).
• Strong analytical skills and software skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency required.
• Must currently be a U.S. resident with permanent authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).

Pay

The position offers $110,000 annually, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including work location and relevant skills and experience.
