2027 Internship: Automation Engineering (San Antonio, TX)

About the role

Support the regional NA Automation Team in their various tasks regarding automation, including supporting commissioning or troubleshooting activities of equipment.

Inspect issues in production and work out solutions based on programmable logic controllers (PLC).

Be part of a team developing and implementing cobot applications to replace manual, unergonomic repetitive work.

Use data acquisition to provide insights on production lines and equipment using an IoT platform and analytic tools.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Technical education (Degree in Engineering or comparable)
• Strong interest in Vision Systems, Cobots, Programmable Logic Controllers, Big Data, VR, AR, MR
• Preference for candidates with comprehensive knowledge of robotics, automation, and/or Mechatronics
• Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and business systems, e.g.: 5S, standardized work, Kanban, visual management
