About the role

Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems Intern Program seeks Vehicle Engineers to support the development of manned and unmanned aircraft platforms. You will join the Vehicle Engineering group and work in a dynamic, people-focused environment interacting with users, customers, and other developers.

Responsibilities

• Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.
• Work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
• Operate related equipment; conduct tests and report data in prescribed format.
• Perform calibration and alignment checks; make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
• Analyze, research, and develop structural engineering analysis packages involving metals or composite structural materials for product design or operation of product to include structures, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronics.

Requirements

• Enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university, graduating after August 2027.
• Major in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Modeling & Simulation, Applied Mechanics, Materials/Composites or a related STEM field.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Preferred Qualifications

• Overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
• Previous internship or co-op experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, interpersonal communication skills, and involvement in professional, community, or extracurricular activities.
