2027 Future Talent Program - Animal Health R&D Quality Assurance - Intern
About the role
This summer internship opportunity with our Animal Health Research & Development (R&D) Quality Assurance (QA) team at our Rahway, New Jersey site offers exposure to quality systems supporting research and development activities across the product development lifecycle. The intern will interact with Quality Assurance professionals and Leadership Team members, gaining a broad perspective on quality throughout the drug development continuum.
Responsibilities
- Gain an understanding of the phases of drug development
- Gain an understanding of the importance of quality in ensuring the rights and well-being of patients and the welfare of animals; helping to meet the intent of global regulatory requirements through robust processes and procedures; and ensuring subject, company, and regulator confidence and public trust in our company
- Interact with our company employees who have broad experience across the pharmaceutical industry
- Support projects focused on Quality Management System (QMS) continuous improvement including procedure review and alignment, development of training resources, and creation of quality metrics and dashboards
Qualifications
Education: Candidate must be a current student enrolled in a bachelor's or graduate program in Life Sciences, Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Biological Sciences, Quality Systems, Business, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related discipline. Candidate must have completed at least 2 years of college course work by June 2027.
Required Experience and Skills
- Candidate must be available to work full-time for up to 12 weeks during the months of May – August 2027

- Candidate must have strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to take initiative and own deliverables
- Candidate must have demonstrated interpersonal skills including flexibility, collaboration and inclusion skills, and ability to work in a team environment
- Candidate must have demonstrated the capability to develop innovative solutions to challenges
- Candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Candidate should have experience with or exposure to data analysis, dashboard development, process improvement, or business analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms)
- Candidate should have good communication skills and the ability to keep accurate records
- Candidate should have experience with or exposure to the development of dashboards, analytics, or other systems
Pay
The salary range for this role is $39,108 through $111,111.
