About the role

The Fifth Third Bank Leadership Program (LP) Internship offers students exposure to various banking disciplines through on-the-job training and supplementary activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform assignments as determined by the Assignment Leader.
• Manage and report on project status for specific projects as assigned.
• Participate in community volunteerism projects.
• Attend leadership development activities and present to line of business or division leaders.
• Build a network of resources within the assigned line of business, division, or across functions.
• Communicate effectively with others, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Operate within the Bank's risk appetite and achieve results by managing identified, assessed, monitored, and reported risks.

Requirements

• Strong academic record (minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA).
• Interest in pursuing a career in banking.
• Rising senior majoring in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for immigration sponsorship.
• Relevant internship and/or work experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in critical thinking, leadership, business acumen, relationship building, and teamwork.
• Basic familiarity with software applications including Microsoft Office Products.
• Ability to manage own time to meet deadlines set by Manager and Assignment Leader.
• Capable of performing and communicating effectively.
