- Front End: develop, test, and maintain highly interactive, responsive user interfaces
- Back End: build backend services, APIs, and microservices in Java (Spring Boot); implement server-side logic, workflows, and data pipelines; optimize performance, scalability, and reliability
- Full Stack: own both front-end and back-end components end to end
Data Engineering
The Data Engineering Intern will help build, maintain, and optimize the data infrastructure, including databases and data pipelines. Responsibilities could include:
- Support the design and development of data, software, or technology solutions to answer scientific or business questions
- Leverage a range of technologies related to programming languages, data integration, data warehousing, and data visualization and analysis
- Help build, maintain, and optimize data infrastructure
- Ensure data is collected, processed, and stored efficiently and securely
- Integrate different data sources and create the foundations on which analytics and data science can operate
This is an 11-week onsite internship. The majority of BTS Interns will be placed in Lake County, IL, though there is a possibility of being placed within any U.S. AbbVie or Allergan Aesthetics location. While location preferences are considered, placements will ultimately be based on business need.
