Responsibilities

  • Determine computer user needs and analyze system capabilities to resolve problems related to program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, and programming techniques.
  • Prepare operating instructions and design/develop compilers, assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
  • Ensure software standards are met.

Qualifications

Associate Engineer Software (T01)

  • Completing or has completed a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2027.
  • Majoring in or has majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required). Program Special Access may also be required to start.

Engineer Software (T02)

  • Completing or has completed a Master’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2027 or completing or has completed a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and 2 years of software experience by August 2027.
  • Majoring in or has majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required). Program Special Access may also be required to start.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
  • Previous internship, co-op, or work experience.
  • Leadership and teamwork capabilities, strong interpersonal communication skills, and involvement in professional, community, or extracurricular activities.

Pay

  • Associate Software Engineer (T01): $65,800 – $98,800
  • Software Engineer (T02): $79,300 – $118,900

Base salary offers consider factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Eligible employees may receive overtime, shift differentials, discretionary bonuses, annual performance-based bonuses, and long-term incentives (for Vice President or Director roles).
