Associate positions at Berkeley Research Group (BRG) are full-time, entry-level consulting roles. BRG is a global consulting firm specializing in disputes and investigations, corporate finance, and performance improvement and advisory. Our Corporate Finance practice provides strategic, operational, and financial advice to private equity firms, management teams, boards of directors, investors, hedge funds, and other lenders, focusing on underperforming or transitioning companies.

The practice is comprised of experienced, hands-on professionals who are results-oriented and data-driven. We collaborate with management teams and sponsors to maximize stakeholder value, offering deep operational experience, interim management, and targeted surge resources. Our expertise spans industries such as retail, consumer products, financial services, healthcare, energy, and technology.

  • Transaction Advisory (TA)

Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day activities of BRG Corporate Finance – Turnaround & Restructuring client service teams on engagements.
  • Execute multiple tasks across consulting engagements, including modeling and client presentations.
  • Utilize business, finance, accounting, and analytical skills to perform tasks such as 13-week cash flow models, 3-statement models, and pro-forma scenario models.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment; collaborate with T&R and BRG experts, professionals from other firms, and client contacts to achieve engagement objectives.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, written analyses, presentations, and other client deliverables.
  • Participate in the development of a fast-growing, entrepreneurial consulting practice, including assisting in marketing, client pitches, and product and practice development.
  • Demonstrate the highest degree of professionalism, ethics, quality, and integrity.

Skills

  • Three-statement financial modeling, including scenario planning
  • Financial planning & analysis
  • 13-week cash flow modeling
  • Chapter 11 process knowledge
  • Transactions, including sale of assets or businesses

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Accounting/Finance, Management, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field; 0-1 years of experience, including internships.
  • Ability to manage and analyze large volumes of financial and operational data.
  • Ability to interpret the results of qualitative and quantitative analysis and develop insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to interact with junior and senior team members, senior management, and other stakeholders.
  • Mature presence, empathy, intellectual curiosity, and ability to learn quickly.
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Ability to work well independently or in a team dynamic.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize changing work demands, and learn quickly.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Willingness to travel when/if needed.

Candidates must have an expected graduation date between December 2026 and May 2027 and be able to submit verification of legal right to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 to $110,000 per year.
