About the role

Embark on a transformative journey with J.P. Morgan's U.S. Private Bank Summer Associate Program. This nine-week internship offers unparalleled career growth and the chance to work with industry leaders in wealth management. The program begins with a five-day orientation introducing you to the firm and the Private Bank business, including skills development sessions in markets, sales, and client relationship management.

You'll gain exposure to every facet of wealth management, including planning, investing, borrowing, and banking. As an ambassador for J.P. Morgan, you will build key skills in client acquisition and retention through a broad set of solutions. The program includes training classes, a senior speaker series, market discussions, and networking opportunities, with dedicated guidance and feedback throughout.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a team of advisors and specialists to bring in new clients and serve existing ones.
  • Deliver highly customized and comprehensive solutions to help protect, manage, and grow wealth.
  • Learn the fundamentals of the wealth management business by partnering with a successful Private Banking team, accountable for identifying and managing high net worth and ultra-high net worth client relationships.
  • Work in teams to foster client relationships and present strategic solutions that help clients achieve their financial goals.

Requirements

  • First-year M.B.A. candidates with 3+ years' work experience.
  • Attend college/university in the U.S.
  • Expected graduation date of December 2027 through June 2028.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, strong quantitative skills, a passion for investing, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to multitask.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Genuine interest in financial markets and macro-level economic trends.
  • Desire to ultimately work with external clients in a relationship-building and sales capacity.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Highly inquisitive, focused, and proactive.
  • Good judgment and discretion when working with confidential information.

East Region: New York Metro (Garden City, Manhattan), Baltimore, Boston, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Greenwich, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Summit, Washington D.C., Westchester.

Southeast Region: Atlanta, Charlotte, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Palm Beach.

South Region: Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, New Orleans, San Antonio.

Midwest Region: Birmingham (Detroit Metro), Chicago, Chicago Northshore (Winnetka), Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, St. Louis.

West Region: Century City (Los Angeles), Las Vegas, Orange County (Los Angeles), Pasadena (Los Angeles), Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, South Bay (Los Angeles), Walnut Creek (East Bay), West Lake Village (Los Angeles).
