Summer Associates

Thompson Coburn LLP is looking for 2L summer associates for 2027 in our Birmingham office. We offer a comprehensive 10-week program and invest significant resources to train and prepare summer associates for their careers. Our summer associates perform real work for real clients, and our unique work assignment system ensures that each person explores that individual’s areas of interest. Each of our summer associates regularly meets with a partner mentor and an associate mentor who provide guidance and advice. We provide opportunities for our summer associates to learn about our firm’s culture, our practice areas, our different offices, and how we fulfill our firm’s overarching mission of Total Commitment to our clients, our people, and our community. Banking and Commercial Finance Associate

Thompson Coburn is seeking a Banking and Commercial Finance Associate with 4+ years of experience to join its New York office. This position will be primarily lender focused in the representation of banks, funds and other providers of credit in a variety of financing transactions, including cash-flow and asset-based lending transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding commercial finance structures and issues, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to work within a team environment. This role involves managing complex transactions, resolving challenges, and providing tailored solutions to clients in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must also have exceptional academic achievement, excellent analytical and writing skills and strong interpersonal skills.

• Salary Range: $220,000 - $290,000

Labor and Employment Attorney

Thompson Coburn is seeking an attorney with 5+ years of employment litigation experience, including single-plaintiff, PAGA and class action experience, to join its Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have employment counseling and employment litigation experience, strong analytical and writing skills, and the ability to function both independently and within a team environment. The Firm welcomes applicants who are self-starters, comfortable with client interaction and seeking career development and advancement opportunities. Candidates should be licensed to practice in California.

The ideal candidate will have employment counseling and employment litigation experience, strong analytical and writing skills, and the ability to function both independently and within a team environment. The salary range for this position in our Dallas and Washington D.C. offices is $215,000 - $300,000. Actual salary will vary and may be above or below the range based on relevant skills, training and other job-related factors. The range listed is just one of Thompson Coburn’s total compensation and benefits package for associates, which includes productivity and discretionary bonuses; life, health, accident and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.

Estate Planning Attorney

Thompson Coburn LLP is seeking an associate attorney with 4-6 years of estate planning experience to join its Private Client practice group in the Chicago office. Ideal candidates will have experience with sophisticated estate planning matters including gift, estate, and related income tax planning, estate and trust administration, charitable planning and family business succession planning. Experience preparing gift, estate and/or fiduciary income tax returns is a plus.
