2026 Intern Conversion - Guidance, Navigation & Control Engineer I

This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.

Responsibilities

• Work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs.
• Seek out requirements with minimal direction.

Requirements

• Successfully completed an internship with Blue Origin in 2026.
• Enrolled or recently graduating student attending a college or university.
• Able to start working full-time on or before September of 2027.
• Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, astronautical engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for Blue’s Mission with a strong desire to continuously learn and improve.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant internship/co-op and academic project experience that demonstrate development of both technical skills relevant to the internship as well as leadership qualities.
• Hands-on project experience.
• Co-curricular engagement.

Pay

• CA applicants: $87,816.00 - $122,942.40
• CO applicants: $80,499.00 - $112,697.55
• WA applicants: $87,816.00 - $122,942.40
• VA applicants: $87,816.00 - $122,942.40
• Other site ranges may differ.

Background Check

• Standard Background Check for all positions.
• Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) background check if the role requires access to a military installation.
• Additional requirements for drivers operating Commercial Motor Vehicles, including Drug and Alcohol Testing, CDL requirements (if applicable), and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, including pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical, for certain job profiles.
