Job Summary
Responsibilities include working with school age youth in the following areas: develop and teach hands-on environmental education classes, lead recreational games, campfires, singing, night hikes or other activities that convey the value if the natural environment. Interns will select an environmental project approved by their on-site supervisor and which is an area of interest to the student. They will conduct research and develop the project into a written plan.
Requirements
- At least 6 months experience with Extension, a University or related environmental education experience.
- Physical Requirements: Applicant must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, be available to work long hours in a noisy environment, work in outside/hot/cold conditions, and be on feet for long periods of time.
- Shift: Days and evenings, Monday through Friday.
Qualifications
- Required Education: High School/ GED
- Preferred Education/Experience: College work toward a degree in some aspect of Environmental education or related field.

Internship opportunities range in length during the time frame of August 2026 and November 2026.
Pay
$1450 per month + housing
